Agile Backend Tester

Kambi Development consists of more than 200 people constantly trying to improve the process of turning user stories into shippable code. We're dedicated to value driven development, think lean software development is a great way of achieving that and use Scrum or Kanban to support our efforts along the road.

In addition to our online Sport betting solution, we offer our customers a Retail solution consisting of self-service terminals and Point of Sale terminals controlled by cashiers. The terminals are typically deployed in Sports betting shops or in casinos.

Kambi Retail is a rapidly expanding business area and our ambition is to provide the market with a state-of-the-art Retail Sports betting system. To achieve our goal, we are now looking for a Backend Tester to join one of our teams.

You will be working closely with your team of Backend Developers and collaborate with other teams and testers to build a world-class product.

This is what our testers do:

• In-sprint testing of user stories is the main focus, today mostly exploratory and manual but moving towards developing and introducing more test automation
• Determining the test scope, what to test and how to test
• Identify risks in the products that we build
• Actively give feedback to Product Owners about the product
• Help Product Owners write good acceptance criteria

You will also:

• Keep test environments running and up to date
• Take part and contribute in the Kambi Testing Community
• Bring testability, test-automation, risk and value to the table everywhere you go in the organization

Key skills and experience:

• At least 5 years of testing experience
• Experience working with Backend testing
• Experience in developing test automation, including framework
• Advanced knowledge about Jira, Confluence, Linux, SQL
• Great communication skills – ability to communicate effectively with developers and testers
• Good understanding of Agile Software Development Methodology

Desirable skills and experience:

• Knowledge and experience with Java development, Postman and Maven
• Experience with test automation using JBehave
