Work with a mix of solid reliable mainframe technology as well as the latest and greatest in managing huge business critical transactions

Own the backlog and, in collaboration with your colleagues, decide what should be done but also what will need to wait. You have a strong mandate to point out the direction and you move easily between operational and strategic work to manage expectations from all stakeholders
Create a big network of people who will be vital for you to succeed in this role and you thrive in the mix between technology, process, business needs and people
Communication: You’ll need to keep lots of people updated on what we are doing, what we will be doing, what we won’t be doing and why. This also means you can understand, appreciate, estimate and prioritize other functions needs and requirements on us
Roadmap: You need to make sure we deliver today but you are also looking at what we’ll need to deliver in 6,12- and 18-months’ time to keep up with our competitors, stay relevant in the market and aligned with the bank’s strategy.
Compliance: As a bank we are constantly being scrutinized by our owners, shareholders, authorities and other instances to make sure we are conducting our business to the highest of standards. Our APO is a crucial player in this work.
Modernizing our tools and processes: Some of our technology and processes are cutting edge while some are reaching their expiration date. It’s a fine line between maintaining operational stability through proven technology while keeping one eye on the future.

What is needed in this role:
You are a proud tech-nerd but you are also a people person who loves collaborating with tons of colleagues and external parties
You have confidence in your skills and you know when to stand your ground and defend a decision, but you are also a good listener who takes other people’s opinions in to account
We think you have a curious mindset and that you are happy to challenge the status quo but equally happy to follow instructions when needed
Solid experience from the beautiful world of Mainframe
Rudimentary knowledge of Batch operations
Basic understanding of TWS/OPC, JCL etc.
Last but not least; you have a great sense of humour and you like to deliver amazing work but also have lots of fun with your colleagues doing so!
