What’s in it for you?
As Agile Safety Analysis Team Member, you will be part of the development of the next generation of safe Volvo cars. You will be part of an agile team with innovative safety knowledge and an analytical ability that over time will create world-leading safety.

What you will do?
Safety integration analysis and performance optimization will be your main tasks. As an Agile Safety Analysis Team Member, you will perform advanced finite element simulations to help analyse and develop safety performance in our future cars. Your safety analysis serves as the basis for development of world leading safety and it is your responsibility to ensure that the System Teams at Agile Release Trains (ARTs) receives and understand the analytical data. You will collaborate closely with the ARTs to analyse and secure robust designs solutions. Based on your analysis work you will support the design departments to fulfil the vehicle safety targets and requirements. 
Together with your Team Members, you will explore and deliver the safety knowledge needed for our future products. You will perform analysis, develop performance requirements, engineering guidelines and concept solutions.
You will be a part of an agile team and will work closely with your Team Members, Scrum Master, Product Owner and the System Team Members at the different ARTs.

As an Agile Safety Analysis Team Member, you will participate in backlog refinement to define integration and test backlog features, you will participate in PI Planning and attend stand-ups as well as other teams’ stand-ups to support daily activities when needed.

The department work is built on empowered agile teams. As an Agile Safety Analysis Team Member, your job is to perform analysis, develop requirements, design guidelines, create and evaluate the technical solutions.
* You will collaborate with all Safety Attribute Teams, Solutions ARTs, Basic Design and E-ARTs to maximize the department ability to support the solution flow.
* You persist in the face of challenges and drives results to secure delivery.

* You take consistent action to develop new skills, you are good at applying new knowledge and find ways to apply strengths to new issues.


Who are you?
You have a MSc in Engineering or equivalent relevant experience. You are curious by nature and you are passionate about analytical work. You are inclusive, communicative, team and customer focused. You have a genuine passion for safety and you are action oriented, you will decisively take action in fast-changing and unpredictable situations. You have a high degree of courage and are able to take on difficult issues with confidence and optimism. You ensure ownership by holding yourself and others accountable to meet commitments, and you provide balanced feedback at the most critical times. You are actively learning through experimentation when tackling new problems and challenges, using both successes and failures as a basis when seeking new approaches to address issues.

Meritorious:  
•    Experience from safety related work
•    Experience of CAE & test analysis preferably within Automotive Safety
•    Skills in CAE tools as: LS- Dyna, Ansa and MetaPost and/or Animator software, or other equivalent CAE tools
•    Skills in other important tools as: TeamCenter, VisMockup or Catia are an advantage
•    Skills in scripting languages, such as Python, Matlab or similar
