In this role, you bring proven advanced training in Computer Science. You hold demonstrable knowledge of agile principles in theory and practice. Moreover, we believe you have gained substantial experience as an Agile Coach or similar, during which you have created your own well-rounded mental toolbox including several methods, frameworks, and facilitation techniques, that you utilize with high confidence.
You have knowledge in the following areas:
Extensive experience from working with several software development teams, in which solutions evolve through the collaboration of self-organized cross-functional teams
Extensive experience in facilitating change and mediating between different interests on the team level as well as management level
Extensive experience in working with large scale organizations and multiple products
Good understanding of agile software development practices and proven execution within a retail & e-commerce environment
Good experience in using work management tools such as Jira and Miro to complement your experience with different agile ways of working
As it’s up to the team to decide on the agile method to use, it is very beneficial if you have experience in coaching software development teams in methods or frameworks other than Scrum.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
As an Agile Team Coach, the main objective is to guide and coach one or more teams.
You will:
Coach teams in becoming customer-centric, self-organized and empowered
Coach teams in experimenting and constantly looking for new and better ways
Be responsible for the organisation of the product teams to ensure that key events take place and are effective in achieving their purpose
Organize and run planning meetings, ensuring the team reaches a collective agreement on the work items that will be accepted (i.e. there is an agreed backlog and plan)
Track and use empirical data to promote dialogues and ultimately drive improvements in overall efficiency and effectiveness
Support teams to identify and remove any potential impediments/blockers to the delivery and manage any emerging dependencies
Provide transparency and visibility on teams’ activity/progress
Support individuals and teams to trust each other and bring out the best in each other
Encourage continuous improvements
Advocate and demonstrate the benefits of agile values and ways of working in the wider organization and build agile capability, both across the organisation and within the digital organisation

We set the digital agenda to keep IKEA leading in an uncertain and fast-moving environment. We drive the development, provision and operation of our digital products and services through the use of new and existing technology and agile delivery methods to deliver at pace. At the same time, we provide a home for digital skills to both develop and extend the technical, people and business skills needed to ensure continuous development and growth of our digital capability. As Agile Team Coaches, we are tightly connected with other Engineering Services to ensure that the many co-workers can thrive and make a significant and lasting impact.
