Your future role

Next Generation Studies has the mission to build competence and viable solutions within highly prioritized technologies. Autonomy, Man-Machine Teaming, System-of-systems and Artificial Intelligence are such areas and now we are looking for innovative engineers and project leaders to strengthen our highly skilled teams.

Our teams are truly cross-functional and include specialists and engineers from across Saab. You will be working in close collaboration with the very best to lead and design autonomous functions for the next generation of combat aircraft.

We are now looking for skilled individuals who can fulfill the following roles:

* Senior developers with an interest in AI-enabled autonomous systems
* Skilled individuals working on next generation adaptive HMI


Your profile

We are searching for you, with previous experience with autonomous systems and/or worked within AI in some sort. Maybe you are currently a developer with leader-skills who curiously want to take the next step in your career.

It is important that you like to be part of a high performing team where we learn from each other and share our knowledge. You understand the power of communication.

As the work is often performed in teams, it is important that you possess good communication skills, and previous leadership experience would be an advantage. This position also involves many contact areas, both internally and externally, which requires a high level of social competence and co-operative skills.

This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.

What you will be a part of

Aeronautics is a business area within Saab that offers aircraft systems and subsystems to both the defence and the civil market. In addition, unmanned systems, construction of aircraft parts, and associated services are within its business. Aeronautics is also responsible for the Gripen weapon system, which includes development, production, marketing, sales and support.

The Future Programs department consists of the areas Concept Design and Next Generation Studies, and is responsible for the execution of technology studies, as well as the contracting of and project development for future products. For example, the department is responsible for the execution of the Future Combat Air Systems programme and EU-funded research projects. Research areas of interest include Human-Machine Interaction (HMI), Tactical autonomy and System-of-Systems.
