AI Designer

Avalanche Studios is looking for a Designer to help bring life to Contraband’s fictional Southeast Asian setting.

The Position

You will join the cross-disciplinary world sim team tasked with breathing life into Contraband’s ambient populations. As an AI Designer you will be responsible for the design and implementation of world sim AI and its behavior in the open world. This includes the following skills:

- Creating any design documentation necessary
- Collaborating with your lead and other teams (design, art, animation, programming, etc.)
- Creating and implementing behavior trees for different world sim types
- Balancing and Optimization
- Bug fixing


To thrive in the Avalanche Game Design department, you need to be willing and have the ability to learn new tools and workflows.. You can motivate both yourself and others and keep a positive attitude while working on either exciting or uninspiring, menial tasks.We are looking for someone who is articulate, has strong conceptual skills and has the ability to communicate ideas visually and verbally. You need to have a passion for games and an ability to articulate that passion clearly and analytically.



Qualifications

- Proven ability to create NPCs from raw material (Art, Animation, Scripting)
- In depth experience with at least one game engine/editor
- Experience with animation scripting and behavior trees
