Our Exciting Opportunity
The Ericsson AI Execution team is innovating how we make our business transformational using AI and Machine Learning. This central unit is chartered with the responsibility of building high-end AI execution capabilities that brings together a team of high-end Data Scientists, Machine Learning Engineers and AI Architects towards the goal of applying scalable AI across Ericsson’s enterprise business. The scope covers the complete lifecycle of feature & functionality development, from use case definition, systemization, AI/ML functionality prototyping and development to implementation in Ericsson product portfolio.

We are currently looking for an AI Execution Director, a global delivery and management role with teams spread across USA, Sweden, and India. Is that you?

Job description
You will be part of the unit’s leadership team with a broad senior leadership scope that requires critical strategic execution focus. You will also serve as a key member of the AI Execution Think Tank, formulating its vision, mission, goals and driving day-to-day activities to realize them.

As a Leader, you will lead cross-geographical teams with multi-functional responsibilities. You will also contribute to secure Ericsson’s technology leadership in the AI domain by way of creating differentiating assets as well as driving market leadership for our products. You will teach, coach, challenge and develop individuals, teams, and organizations. You will foster a creative and learning culture.

You will:
Demonstrate thought leadership in the AI/ML domain
Outline and drive strategy for enterprise AI
Partner with stakeholders from the Business Areas, Market Areas and Group Functions to advise on AI/ML application and experience
Support AI portfolio roadmap planning and scoping of use cases and AI/ML product & services functionality
Continuously engage with delivery teams to guide, coach and advise on standards in AI/ML delivery and agile working principles
Improve and optimize the systemization and implementation process flow for AI/ML applications
Execute on designing, engineering, operating, enhancing, and maintaining of capabilities
Work closely with the innovation and academia ecosystem to co-create assets for Ericsson and the industry
Recruit, build, develop and coach a team of Data Scientists, ML Engineers and Domain Experts across multiple locations
Contribute to internal and external evangelism of Ericsson capability in AI/ML area; blog posts, training, meet-ups, etc.
Be a contributing leader and active leadership team member in the AI Execution unit


To be successful in the role you must have:
Bring a good combination and broad experience in business, leadership, technical and functional areas
Solid experience in Data and AI with proven track record in developing and scaling AI products and solutions that delivers measurable business value
Over 10 years of formal leadership experience
Over 15 years of experience in Data Handling, Computational Math and Product Development
Experience with formulating technology and operationalization strategies and business practices
Strong leadership and partnering skills, with the ability to lead and work across all levels of the organization and across multiple countries, effectively collaborating with multiple stakeholders
Excellent people management skills to attract motivate and retain talent, including coaching and mentoring skills
Excellent communication & negotiation skills
Strong sense of duty and initiative
Demonstrably trustworthy (thru reference checks)
Fluent spoken and written English is a mandatory requirement
Bachelors/Master’s in Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related quantitative field. MBA or equivalent Post Graduate Diploma would be an added advantage.
