Your future role

Next Generation Studies has the mission to build competence within highly prioritized technologies. Autonomy and Artificial Intelligence are two such areas and now we are looking for a highly skilled engineer or research scientist to strengthen our team to design tactical autonomous functions and capabilities for next generation fighter systems.

You will be working in close collaboration with system of system engineers and other highly skilled team members to design and lead the development of autonomous capabilities in collaborative, multi-agent contexts.

Your profile

We believe you have extensive experience developing and using collaboration architectures. Maybe you have done research or working in projects using systems for multi-agents. Your focus will be on system-of-system architecture and mission autonomy functions, but you should also be able to see the big picture and contribute with your expertise and ideas to the whole team.

To be successful in this role we believe that you should have the following skills:

* A MSc or PhD in relevant area
* Knowledge in autonomous functions and systems (agents)
* Knowledge in system design and architecture
* Experience working in an international environment

It is also crucial that you like to be part of a high performing team where we learn from each other and share our knowledge. You understand the power of communication.

This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.

Aeronautics is also responsible for the current generation (Gripen) fighter system, which includes development, production, marketing, sales, and support.

The department Future Programs consist of the areas Concept design and Next generation studies, and is responsible for the execution of studies, contract, and projects for future products. The department is responsible for the execution of the Future Combat Air Systems (FCAS) program and some EU funded research projects within autonomy.
