Who we are
Climate system department is responsible for climate development within Volvo Car Group. The Department is part of Vehicle Platform unit within Volvo Car's R&D division. Climate Systems is owning the majority of the components connected to the climate function, and the SW-control of the same. We are in a challangeing and exciting journey where climate is a important contributer to the electrification, efficiency and digitalisation transformation of the company.
The Air Quality and Sensors team consists of 8 Engineers that bring a variety of competences such as Concept Developent, Industrialization, Function Development, Technical Expertise, Electrical Development and Testing. The team owns the product and functionality connected to making sure that the Air Quality in the car is good, and that the customer understands the Air Quality status in and around the car. The team has won both international and internal Volvo Cars prizes for their innovative solutions as well as filed patents for the same. The team has a high degree of diversity, consisting of different ages, backgrounds and experiences with open dialoges and good fellowship among the team-members. As we are working in a Agile setup the team is supported by a Product owner and a Scrum Master. Now we are looking for a new collegue to complement us and bring additional value to the team.
What we offer
As Developer in the Air Quality team you will bring mechatronical developing competence to the Agile development team and support the team with air quality development in all project phases. As a part of a development team you will together with other team members, Scrum Master and Product Owner decide and prioritize tasks and together make sure to deliver the scope of team.

What you will do
You will work in close cooperation with suppliers, purchasing, manufacturing engineers, SQM, testing department and other support team members within the company. The work demands a personality that drives all tasks effective and finds ways to implement the best possible solution with no deviations regarding quality assurance.
In this role you will develop project leading skills, communication and technical skills by managing the Air Quality component projects, reporting status, leading the cross functional team both internally and towards the supplier to manage the deliveries according to the plan.
Requirements To Be Successful
We believe you have completed at least B.Sc. degree in Mechanics, Mechatronics or Electrical engineering and have relevant working experience with design engineering and product development. Previous experience in automotive industry is strongly appreciated.
We will be looking for the following skills:
• Good communication, facilitation, and presentation skills
• Team player with focus on delivering the teams short term and long term goals
• Technical understanding of Mechatronical component Engineering
If you have deeper knowledge within climate system area, specifically with air quality is a merit. Understanding of agile way of working is a plus and currently important requirement, due to transformation period in the company. You need to be fluent in English, spoken and written, and have a driving license “B”, valid in Sweden.
