The West Atlantic Group is one of the markets leading providers of dedicated airfreight service to European National Mail Organisations and airfreight capacity to Global Integrators and freight forwarders.
The Group has a well-established geographic network and operate a customised aircraft fleet of 40 aircrafts, which includes the British Aerospace ATP, Bombardier CRJ 200 PF, Boeing 737-300 / 400/ 800.
West Atlantic was founded in 1962 and its headquartered in office buildings at Malmö Airport, Sweden. Operation are performed all over Europe with a staff around 500 employees. West Atlantic holds two Air Operating Certificates, one in UK and one in Sweden, which together operate over 24,000 flights serving more than 50 destinations. Focus is on safe operations, high reliability, and customer service.
Role Summary
West Atlantic has the above position available within their Engineering team. As part of this experienced team, you will become a key member within the existing engineering department and will work with all West Atlantic operated aircraft types (ATP, CRJ, Boeing 738). The role encompasses general active involvement in the integral continued airworthiness of the fleet, perform Airworthiness Review for extensions and carry out investigations of occurrence reports in the Safety Management System.
You should have a technical aviation background by study and/or previous experience in a similar technical environment. You will need to have a motivated and systematic approach to problem solving, an appreciation of engineering data and the ability to communicate technically on all levels from shop floor to senior management.
Responsibilities
• Review Airworthiness Directives and Service Bulletins for applicability.
• Develop Engineering Orders to accomplish modifications in response to ADs, Service Bulletins, SILs, etc.
• Analyse fleet related maintenance errors/defects and identify problems related to aircraft system- and or component failures.
• Liaise with vendors and Civil Aviation Authorities.
• Provide technical and advisory support to the Maintenance, Quality, and Logistics Department.
• Weight & Balance calculation.
• Perform ARC extension.
• SMS Investigator.
Required Skills/Experience:
You
• Graduated in Aeronautical Technical Aviation studies and preferably aviation engineering experience or other experience closely related to aviation.
• Are fluent in English both oral and written
• Have good administrative skills.
• Demonstrate high safety awareness.
• Documented Microsoft 360 knowledge and skills.
• Familiar with SCAA and EASA regulations.
• Familiar with Safety Management System
• Experience working with Boeing 738, BAe ATP and CRJ200 is an advantage.
