Your mission?

As the ALM Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for management and organization of the ALM (Asset Life Management) Engineering department based in Västerås and Motala. The department is approx. 30 employees and externals in two hierarchical levels.
Your key responsibilities?

· Manage the Engineering department responsible for modifications, refurbishment and crash repair in Alstom Services Nordics depot in Västerås and Motala
· Plan and manage resources to contracts, bids and production support
· Manage employees, knowledge retention and succession planning
· Take part in technical reviews and decisions in major engagements
· Contribute to Engineering efficiency
· Drive Engineering improvement projects
· Manage internal and external audits
· Communicate regulary with the Engineering team through briefs and „one to one”-meetings
Minimum qualifications:
· Rolling Stock and components >10 years’ experience
· Project management > 5 years’ experience
· Engineering processes, tools and methods
· Engineering strategy and vision definitione
· Good financial understanding
· Fluent in English and (preferably) Swedish
Ideally:
· Knowledge of railway industry
· Technical decision making incl. value analyses methodologies
· Strong Leadership and people management experience
