About us
Electric Driveline department is responsible for development of Electric Machines, Transmissions, Drive Shafts and Engine suspension. Here you will join our journey to develop sustainable pure electric drivelines for our future cars. Our team is responsible for analysis and verification of in-house developed Electric Driveline components. We have an ambition to become leading in Electric Drivelines.
We use agile and lean methodologies to increase both flow and employee motivation. We have high focus on method development to improve the fidelity of the testing and automatization of data analysis. With a Road to Lab to Math strategy we strive to reduce the need for vehicle testing to replace it with laboratory testing and CAE models.
We are a diverse team of 24 analysis engineers where we foster a creative learning culture. Our mission is to secure that Volvo delivers products with an excellent quality. What you will do
Your work will mainly be in-house testing. We are responsible of both testing in test beds as well as vehicles. You will furthermore design, prepare, plan and perform tests and measurements in test bench and vehicle alongside in-depth analysis of measurement data and tested components.
You will also:
• Contribute to up-to-date requirements and input to design changes and improve CAE models according to findings in testing.
• Follow market trends within measurement technology and testing.
• Work with continuous development of test and analysis methods to improve work efficiency.
About you
We are looking for a person with project leader skills that love problem solving alongside a background as a BSc or higher in Mechanical, Mechatronics or Electrical engineering. Further competences beneficial for this position are documented practical experience to perform testing and analysis. Experience in material testing and analysis is meritorious. We would prefer if you had knowledge in Mathematics and statistics, as well as, programming experience, preferably in Python and/or Matlab with a focus on data analysis.
You have excellent communication skills in English, both oral and written and you have a driving license B valid in Sweden.
