What we offer?
Electric Driveline is a newly created department that is responsible for in-house development of Electric Machines and Transmissions (EFAD and ERAD) as well supplier developed parts as Inverters, Drive Shafts, Engine suspension, NVH cover, Automatic Gearboxes and Mechanical AWD-system. Within the area of in-house design of Electric Machine and Transmission, we are now expanding and heading an exciting as well as challenging future supporting Volvo Cars Electrification strategy.
The Electric Driveline testing team is responsible of testing of in-house developed transmissions and electric machines as well as inverters and drive shafts for electric drivelines. We are now searching for a creative analysis engineer with high focus on innovations and execution to be responsible to develop and perform physical testing as validation of CAE calculations.
We are a diverse team of 15 analysis engineers ranging from the age of 24 to 65 years old and with different types of national and cultural backgrounds, and are working in one of two teams for testing. We have a great team spirit, where everyone is included and dedicated to secure the products with an excellent quality. Our vision is to be the experts within electric driveline testing and materials and have fun at work.

What you will do?
Your work is mainly carried out in Gothenburg with in-house testing with some minor travels. We are responsible of both testing in test beds as well as vehicles. The role itself is both challenging and rewarding as we are always working towards new technologies as well as value people who can come up with new innovative ideas to see how they can be implemented.

Besides the scope of work mentioned above, you will also:

* Prepare, plan and perform tests and measurements in bench and vehicle alongside analyse data, write reports, communicate test results and propose solution
* Contribute to up-to-date requirements and input to design changes according to findings in testing as well as follow up testing at both internal and external test laboratories
* Follow market trends within measurement technology and testing, develop new test methods and new test environments


Do you fit the profile?
Are you a curious and positive person with project leader skills that love problem solving alongside a background as a B.Sc. or M.Sc. within Mechanical/Mechatronic or Electrical engineering?

Besides, above, we think you have excellent writing skills in English, because this is necessary in the job due to frequently writing of reports and presentations. As testing is performed both in test beds as well as vehicles a driving licence “B” valid in Sweden, is a requirement.
As an addition to that, it would be beneficial if you would have knowledge in some of following in order to complement the team with new knowledge:
* Some years of experience within electrical machine testing or design
* Experience of work within material technology such as metallic materials, polymeric materials and oils.
* Experience and good knowledge both practically and theoretically of measurement technology
* Basic electrical architecture knowledge in vehicle preferable also high voltage systems.
* Good knowledge in Matlab or Python
