About us
At the Electric Driveline Department, you will join our journey to develop Sustainable, pure electric drivelines for the future. Our long-term ambition to become Leading in Electric Drivelines. Electric Driveline department is responsible for in-house development of Electric Machines and Transmissions as well as supplier developed parts as Inverters, Drive Shafts and Engine suspension.
The Electric Driveline Verification and Sustainability team is responsible of testing of in-house developed transmissions and electric machines as well as system verification of supplier developed parts such as inverters and drive shafts for BEV (pure electric? 100% eldrivna bilar är det vi jobbar med) drivelines. Due to an increased responsibility within electrical machine and inverter durability and mechanical function testing we are now searching for an Analysis engineer.
We are today a team of 24 analysis engineers, who works in three agile testing teams, ranging from the age of 28 to 60 with different national and cultural backgrounds. We are a great team who makes sure that everyone feels dedicated and included to secure that Volvo deliver products with an excellent quality. We are proud to be the experts within Electric driveline testing and materials.
What you will do
Your work will mainly be in-house testing, but some minor travels will be required. We are responsible of both testing in test beds as well as vehicles. The role itself is both challenging and rewarding as we always look towards new technologies and the people who comes up with new innovative ideas.
Besides the scope mentioned above, you will also:
* Design, prepare, plan and perform tests and measurements in test bench and vehicle alongside analyse measurement data and material analyses, write reports, communicate test results and propose solution.
* Contribute to up-to-date requirements and input to design changes and improve CAE models according to findings in testing as well as perform and follow up testing at both internal and external test laboratories.
* Follow market trends within measurement technology and testing, develop new test methods and new test environments
* Lead improvements of working process and procedures.
Do you fit the profile?
Are you a curious and positive person with project leader skills that love problem solving alongside a background as a MSc in Electrical engineering within Electric Power Engineering?
Besides, above, we think you have excellent communication skills in English, both oral and written, as this is necessary due to reports and presentations. As testing is performed both in test beds as well as vehicles a driving licence B valid in Sweden, is a requirement.
Further competences required for this position are: Documented high-level of practical experience to perform testing and analyses of electrical machine, power electronics and embedded systems in a test bed. It is also required to have advanced skills in Mathematics and statistics. As well as, programming experience, preferably in Python and/or Matlab with a focus on data analysis.
Meritorious, experience of material testing and analyses.
