What’s in it for you?
Are you interested in design and connected car technology? Do you share our passion for people, the environment, and our urge to create a superior driving experience? We are looking for an Analysis Engineer for our Electrical and Software Workshops at Volvo Headquarters in Gothenburg, Sweden.
We are operating within the Product and Quality organization at Volvo Cars, which is part of Complete Vehicle Engineering. Our organization consists of several sections, such as Workshops, Pilot Plant & Concept Centre and Test Object & Vehicle Management. We work with complete cars, engines, and power trains. During the development phase, we build, maintain, update, and dispose the test objects. The group is located at five different geographical locations within Volvo Cars Torslanda, in Gothenburg. Our most common job is electrical and software work in various forms of powertrain rigs, as well as for complete test cars.
What you’ll do
• Software downloads on test cars built in our facilities
• Delivery control of cars built in Gothenburg (Torslanda) and Belgium (Ghent), China and US
• Troubleshooting in the car's electrical system and software parts
• Troubleshooting in the car's high voltage electrical system, battery and electric motors
• Troubleshooting and analysis due to hardware or software problems in P&Q test cars
• Support for test object construction, hot and cold expeditions, press runs, etc.
• 20-30 travel days per year.
You and your skills
Qualifications
• Knowledge of different diagnostic techniques, focusing on electricity
• Very good knowledge of our products' software, nodes, and other electrical related hardware
• Excellent computer skills
• Good communication skills in Swedish and English (both written and spoken)
• Great experience in mechanic work
• Driving license B
Meritorious
• Industry electrician
• Knowledge to fault trace Ethernet or similar networks
• Knowledge in Canalyzer, Vida, DSA, Inca, etc
• Be able to work in KDP
• Experience from PIE and PIE R&D
• Experience from product quality work
• Forklift license
• BE-driving license
• Certified Hybrid Technician
• MS office programs incl. Teams, OneNote, SharePoint
