We are looking for an engineer within the field of Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) who can, together with our experienced team, assist in the transformation to future technologies and solutions.
The EMC teams are responsible for the Attribute Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) in complete cars. We work with design guidelines, requirements, analysis, simulations, and tests to ensure that system integration into complete vehicle is successful. The EMC Attribute group is a part of Software & Electronics Platform (SWEP) within Volvo Car's Engineering division, currently divided into three teams, one component team, one release team and one service team. We are in total 17 employees today.
Working with EMC means that you establish and develop relationships with developers within almost all system areas of the vehicle as well as building an understanding of the designs in those areas. In this position, you will therefore build and maintain a wide personal network within Engineering.

What you will do
You will support almost all areas within Volvo Cars on component level with EMC expertise. You will be part of a highly skilled team supporting component developers with establishing and approving test plans for platform components as well as for tophat components, reviewing test results and assisting in resolving any non-compliances. You will also be participating in the continuous improvement of work processes and strengthening the EMC knowledge within the teams.

It's nice if you have:
- University degree in electronics, physics or other relevant area or equivalent experience
- Documented experience from EMC in Electronic design.
- Experience of electrical hardware design – schematics and layout
- Experience of the automotive industry
- Experience of other electrical technologies
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
