We are looking for an Analysis Engineer within Robustness To Fire to join our Sustainability Centre at Volvo Cars Headquarters in Gothenburg. Within the group Materials Efficiency – Vehicle Architecture we contribute by supporting design- and engineering teams at ARTs (Agile Release Trains) and procurement in choosing the most suitable materials at the right place in the car to prevent thermal events. The Robustness to fire Team are responsible for formulating and distributing requirements at both components and complete vehicle level. The team are highly involved in verification of components, subsystems, and systems, and are responsible for complete vehicle test and analysis. The team also do investigations on the field of cars that have been involved in thermal events to help understand the source of the event and propose actions to prevent it from happen again.

What you’ll do 
As Analysis Engineer, you will work closely with different engineering teams. Your responsibilities will be to develop test plans, and to secure that the test results, deviations and reports are delivered on time. You will be involved in virtual verification of all car projects. You will also perform system and component testing and do test analyses on all levels within complete vehicle. You will also summarise lessons learned from each project and give feedback to engineering teams in the concept phase of the next program.

You and your skills
We see that you have a university degree in Engineering, preferably Electric Science, Chemistry and Materials, or similar. If you have previous experience from strategy and development work and from running requirements, it is meritorious, as well as skills within SAFe framework. 

On a personal level, you are a customer focused engineer with the ability to drive tasks towards goals and deliver on time. You possess strong communication skills and are eager to work in a group, cooperating with others. You also have a positive approach to Agile Way of Working.
