We are looking for an Analysis Engineer within team Corrosion to join our Sustainability Centre at Volvo Cars Headquarters in Gothenburg. Within the group Materials Efficiency – Vehicle Architecture we contribute by supporting design- and engineering teams and procurement in choosing the most suitable materials at the right place in the car. We work in all phases from Virtual verifications to handling quality issues in the aftermarket.

What you’ll do 
In this Analysis Engineer role, you will work closely with different engineering teams in all phases of the product lifecycle. Your responsibilities will be to develop test plans, and to secure that the test results, deviations and reports are delivered on time. 

You will work with complete vehicle corrosion testing in the shape of the CORCAR, a vital part of the corrosion delivery where we put a complete car though a specific corrosion cycle on our test track in Hällered. Preparation before and analyses during and after test is part of the work. This will include a lot of mechanical work as well as analyses of the car parts together with the team.

You will be involved in virtual verification of all car projects. You will also perform system and component testing and do test analyses on all levels within complete vehicle. 

You and your skills
We see that you are a person with substantial knowledge and experience of cars in general as we are looking for someone with some skills in doing hands-on mechanical work with cars and who enjoys it. You do not need to have specific skills or knowledge within corrosion, but a strong mindset to learn and develop in the area is required.

On a personal level, you are a customer focused with the ability to drive tasks towards goals and deliver on time. You possess strong communication skills, enjoys teamwork and cooperating with others.
