What we offer
We are looking for a enthusiastic and motivated Analysis Engineer to join the Thermal Efficiency team within our Sustainability Centre at Volvo Cars Headquarters in Gothenburg.

On our journey towards a sustainable future a new focus area was discovered - Thermal Efficiency. We aim towards energy efficient cars with maximum range and are one of the attribute teams at Volvo Cars' Sustainability Centre.

As a part of the Thermal Efficiency team, you will take part in developing this new focus area, finding new methods and ways of working to minimize thermal losses and unnecessary usage of energy.

What you’ll do
As Analysis Engineer you will be part of an agile team working with physical verification in the wind tunnel and in rigs. You will take part in preparing the cars before the verification, perform the actual test and then analyse the results from the verification. You will then initiate meetings where you present your results to relevant stakeholders and give ideas on how to improve their design.

You will take part in finding new tools and software and in developing new test methods and requirements in our goal of minimizing thermal losses.

For this position you need to work from the office in Torslanda most of the time and since the wind tunnel testing is planned in 3 shifts a day, some overtime is to be expected.

In this role, you will be thoroughly introduced to create the best conditions for you to grow and prosper in your role as Analysis Engineer. This is a great opportunity for you to grow into a fully equipped Analysis Engineer with great opportunities to develop within the company.

You and your skills
You have a genuine car interest and a willingness to develop within physical testing in wind tunnels. Experience from performing physical testing in a wind tunnel, previous experience from thermodynamics, as well as experience from CAE is meritorious.  

You have a relevant university degree in Engineering or equivalent working experience and your English is fluent (written and spoken). You need a driving license B to be able to conduct the work.

To be a member of a team is your preferred way of working and you don’t hesitate to step in and support your colleagues in their tasks, or to ask for help when you need it.
