We provide engineering and projects with technical recommendations and requirements and verify the product from a complete vehicle perspective, both physically and virtually.
The Weight team delivers a wide scoop from cycle plan input, technical input into the needs and means process, development of the next generation’s weight strategy, legal compliance, weight target setting, and follow-up requirements cross programs and advanced engineering projects.
The team is also coordinating an Optimization Arena which is a cross technical network.
We work towards CAE driven development and for optimization to become a natural part of the development process.

What you’ll do
You will work together with a dedicated team that handles different aspects of vehicle weight.
Some in the concept phase and others in the production phase. This team will inspire you as your home- and knowledge base when it comes to weight experience.
In your daily work, you will contribute within a cross-functional team also covering other areas, e.g. NVH, Aerodynamic, and Energy Efficiency.
Your main focus is to perform CAE analyses and to support other teams to use the optimization tools in their work.
Helping the projects to balance the solutions will result in remarkable recognition and is highly appreciated.

You enjoy being creative and feel comfortable investigating unconventional solutions.
Inspiring and supporting different developing teams with different types of components requires multi-discipline ability.
You find it easy to discuss different solutions, listen to arguments and like to base your conclusions on facts.
You drive results, follow through on commitments, and make sure others do the same.
In addition, with a strong analytical and result oriented mind you will be able to create a great structure and focus in cooperation with the team.
• Master of Science or higher education in Mechanical/Vehicle Engineering, Engineering Physics or similar
• Experience in CAE-driven development with experience of using one or more of the optimization programs OptiStruct, Tosca, Nastran SOL200, Mode Frontier, HyperStudy
• Experience from product development in the automotive industry is meritorious
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)
