Job description
We’re looking for a self-driven team player with a sense of ownership and dedication to quality in everything you do. You take a structured approach to your work and have analytical skills that you successfully will apply to complex engineering tasks. You will develop harmonized platform solutions for both current and future products - from early concept to industrialization and follow-up in the field. You will be a part of an "Agile Release Train" at Common Base Technologies, within Software & Electronics Platform at Volvo Cars.
The team develops application software that manages the car's electrical energy and vehicle modes - optimizing function availability and energy efficiency for the customer through daily drive cycles and the whole life cycle. It provides essential functionality to the software & electronic platform in our vehicles. The team is responsible for the whole development chain - requirement management, system design, software development, software testing in rigs and cars, and safety documentation.
Your role and initial tasks will focus on software testing and analysis, but where you go from there will be based on your own interest and the competence and experience you bring to the team. You will work in close collaboration with a broad range of competencies within HW, SW, and System engineering - expanding your knowledge within many different fields.

Personal qualifications
You have an M.Sc. degree in Computer / Electrical / IT Engineering, Mechatronics, or a similar area of education.
Working in an agile, cross-functional, and collaborative way comes naturally to you.
You communicate well and have excellent skills in English, both verbally and in writing.
Experience and skills in C and C++ are meritorious.
A Swedish driver’s license (B) is meritorious.
Knowledge in system engineering, software development, testing, ECU base tech, in-vehicle communication, diagnostics, Autosar, and ISO 26262 is meritorious. Basic knowledge of Vector tools like CANalyzer/CANape/CANoe, Elektra, Matlab/Simulink, and SystemWeaver will also be good to have.
