Analyst to Fortum's Technoloy and Venture Development Team

Business Area Description
Technology and New Ventures unit is responsible for Fortum's research and development activities and is the in-house incubator for startups. It is also responsible for direct and indirect investments in external startups as well as cooperation with universities and research institutions. Furthermore, Fortum's Corporate IT is part of this unit and its role is developed to a strategic enabler of digitalization and information technology solutions and applications for the businesses.

Your role
We are looking for one Analyst, with location Stockholm, to join Fortum's Technology and Venture Development team.

Fortum's development unit Technology and New Ventures focuses on developing ideas into new business concepts and incubating them internally to growing business ventures. Ideas and ventures are managed in three portfolios: Asset-driven, System-driven and Customer-driven. In addition to portfolio management, Technology and New Ventures offers various venture development services like patenting support, innovation facilitation and technology scouting.

Your main role is to work in pilot and experiment projects within a wide variety of different topics. You will also participate in developing the new pilot pipeline using a variety of alternative sources including active internal and external networking.

Your work may also relate to technology or business scouting, R&D collaboration, startup co-operation, and innovation activities as needed.

Your qualifications -You have a Master degree in Energy Engineering with specialization in renewable energies such as solar and or wind, along with international work experience in the field.

We expect you to have an analytical mind and the ability to absorb large amounts of complex information as well as to draw clear conclusions. We also value highly your ability to develop and conceptualize new ideas towards piloting and experimenting.

We expect you to have a proven track record of complex projects in virtual international teams in an agile environment. You have acted in different types of roles and taken care of a variety of activities.

You have good communication and presentation skills and networking skills both externally and internally. Fluency in English is necessary along with Hindi. Other Asian languages are a plus.
