Analytical Chemist
IKEA of Sweden Älmhult, Test Laboratory

As an Analytical Chemist you are responsible for testing the IKEA products during the product development process. As our new Analytical Chemist you will be part of the chemistry team and you are an important part of the chain to make the IKEA range sellable by secure safe and healthy products that correspond to legislation and exceed customer expectations. IKEA Test Lab is accredited according to ISO 17025.


More specifically you will;
· Perform tests and evaluate results primarily within emission and odour testing based on international standards
· Report and communicate the test results to the clients working with product development at IKEA of Sweden
· Working independently with method development, validation and maintenance
· Participate in quality assessment of external test laboratories
· Take part in international standardization work

Is this a challenge for you?
To be successful in the role you need to have a university degree in chemistry, preferably within analytical chemistry and at least 3 years of working experience. You need experience from method development and validation and deep knowledge about HPLC and GC-MS. Experience of sampling and evaluation of emission from materials or products is a plus!

As a person, you have a natural curiosity combined with a problem solving approach. You are very structured and have a desire to share knowledge and teach others. You have the ability to communicate with experts as well as non experts.
