As an Analytical Chemist, your main area of responsibility will be to perform chemical analyses in support of process and product development. You will analyze samples collected from pilot plant runs and lab synthesis experiments to investigate chemical processes, support application development and participate in research projects. As an expert in chemical analysis you will work with the development of analytical methods and maintain and troubleshoot analysis instruments.
Main responsibilities
Sample analysis, with focus on GC and LC, and method development and optimization.
Take process samples in a demonstration/pilot plant.
Maintain, calibrate and troubleshoot analysis instruments.
Idependantly work on analysis requests and consult with customers.
Evaluate and report results.
Actively participate in and contribute with ideas to research projects.
Participate in the laboratory’s HSE work and lab maintenance and improvement activities.
Provide support to Applications, Technology, Production, Q&C laboratory and Customer Service.



Qualifications
To be successful in this position we believe that you enjoy practical work in the laboratory combined with theoretical challenges and customer support. Further, you are result-oriented, reliable and have good interpersonal skills as well as possess the ability to take own and drive initiatives. We also see that you have:
M.Sc. or B.Sc. in chemistry with 3-5 years of relevant work experience.
Experience with GC/GC-MS, including method development and instrument maintenance.
Good practical laboratory skills including sample preparation and good knowledge of modern analysis techniques including LC and wet chemical analysis.
Good knowledge in Organic Chemistry.
Fluency in written and spoken English, Swedish in an advantage

This is a permanent position on a full-time basis, reporting to the Section Manager Analysis EMEA and based in Stenungsund, Sweden.
