Are you an experienced Analytical Chemist with a passion for innovation and drug development? We are looking for a dedicated Scientist or Senior Scientist to join AstraZenecas analytical characterization team in Gothenburg, and contribute to delivering life-changing medicines to patients worldwide.

Assignment Duration: 2025-01-20 to 2025-12-31, with the possibility for extension.
About the Role
As an Analytical Chemist, you will be part of a collaborative team delivering analytical science for drug product development within our early portfolio, progressing projects up to Phase II. This lab-based role involves working closely with multidisciplinary teams, conducting experiments with precision, and contributing to clinical trial applications (CTA). You'll have the opportunity to apply your expertise in analytical techniques, driving advancements in drug product development and helping deliver life-changing medicines to patients.
Key responsibilities include:
• Conducting high-quality lab-based experiments to support drug product development.
• Utilizing advanced analytical techniques such as chromatography, mass spectrometry, and NMR for small molecules.
• Documenting experiments and contributing to regulatory submissions.
• Collaborating across teams to solve complex challenges and drive innovation in analytical science.
• Staying at the forefront of scientific developments and fostering innovation in automation, AI, and digitalization.
Qualifications
Essential Requirements:
• A university degree (MSc or PhD) in a relevant discipline, with industry experience preferred.
• Strong scientific expertise in analytical science, particularly with small molecules.
• Technical proficiency in chromatography and detection techniques.
• Experience in oral solid dosage form development and CMC regulatory submissions under GMP.
• Familiarity with advanced techniques such as mass spectrometry, NMR, and dissolution testing.
• A keen interest or experience in automation, AI, and digitalization is a plus.
• A proven track record of publications related to analytical science or pharmaceutical characterization is desirable.
