About the position
The Analytical Chemistry Department, which is one of three R&D laboratories in Perstorp, has now an opportunity for an analytical chemist. We are 11 colleagues in the department and about 65 colleagues totally in the Innovation function, of which most are working in R&D and based in Perstorp.
The position will have a focus on the chromatographic field, adapting methods and performing analyses on both more known samples with established methods and on unknown samples where you need to find the right way to approach the assignment.
General laboratory tasks and activities will also be part of your work. Our tasks originate mostly from development projects but also from customers and technical support activities are which are of high importance. The work also includes documentation, reporting, instrument maintenance and contacts within and outside our department.
Who are you?
- Educational background on Masters level with a major in analytical chemistry
- Preferably some experience as a chemist
- Experience of gas- and liquid chromatography techniques
- Experience of interpretation of mass detector spectrum
- Good practical and instrumental knowledge in analytical chemistry techniques
- Knowledge in organic chemistry and understanding of industrial manufacturing processes is valuable
- Spoken and written English is required.

Other information
This is one year temporary position and you should preferable start around august 2021. There might be a possibility for the position to become permanent later on. The position is located at Perstorp R&D Centre in Perstorp, Skåne.
