Analytical Chemist/Specialist

You as a member of our group will contribute with your professional skills in research and development of our existing and future applications, products and processes. Your assignment will be method and technique development, complex analytical problem solving as well as participation in general analytical tasks in the laboratory. It is required that you have a good chemical knowledge showing a high interest for analytical complexity. You have probably several years of experience preferably from coating related R&D work or similar.

What we expect from you is the willingness to show an open-minded attitude and a collaborative way of working and an ability to work well with other disciplines, like production and sales. You are able to obtain results by being creative and energetic. Communication and networking skills are keys for success with us and we expect you to share knowledge internally as well as with our customers. If you have managerial experience it is a merit.

We believe that you have a M.Sc or a PhD in chemistry (Chemical Engineering or similar). Analytical Chemistry and Organic Chemistry ought to be major disciplines in your exam. Chemical knowledge is a prerequisite for our work and skills in analytical areas as chromatography, spectroscopy and /or thermo-physical characterization will be highly valued and appreciated. Additional merits would be knowledge in polymer chemistry.

Perstorp R&D is an international organization and the position will involve several international contacts. Candidates from outside Sweden are highly encouraged to reflect this position.

The position is located at Perstorp R&D Centre in Perstorp that is located in the beautiful scenery in the south of Sweden.
