Autonomous transport solutions will fundamentally change the future of transport and Scania aim to be the leader in this area. Great savings can be made in safety, efficiency but also environmental when the transport industry is facing one of the biggest changes in the history. Scania are developing the complete system for the autonomous transport and you can be part of it. This area creates opportunities but also challenges when the world of autonomy is moving faster and faster and the link between technology and business keeps getting stronger. The technological developments will over time revolutionize the relationships Scania has with its customers and the company’s role in the transport value chain and transform from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to also being a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.

Your task

Our day-to-day work consists of synthesizing data from vehicles, business systems, fleet monitoring systems and other sources, to give our customers business insights, enabling them to maximize efficiency and minimize waste within transport operations.

You will be responsible for developing and keeping the Analytics platform operational and be part of setting and executing on the long-term digitalization roadmap. You are the technology expert and adviser for the Analytics team and will work with the team to secure both present and future performance through modern data architecture. You are the interface towards internal departments and external partners in terms of analytics, data integration and other data related topics to maximize the output from the Analytics team.

Your profile

You are a fan of agile development and you like the idea of self-organizing teams. Being part of a fast-moving international work environment is something you appreciate. You have a clear sense of striking the right balance between keeping a sound overall architecture, while making full use of the creativity of the individual team members.

A strong candidate checks most of the following:


• Experience with modern development practices in Cloud environment: Azure, AWS or GCP
• Experience with ETL and ELT
• Very Comfortable with Data Querying Technologies: Spark, SQL
• Experience working with SQL databases
• Strong with DevOps and CI/CD solutions for data intensive systems
• Experience with Scripting - Bash, Jinja, Python 
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code: Docker, Kubernetes, Orchestration tools
• Experience working with, preferably setting up, modern DW-solutions, e.g. BigQuery, Snowflake, RedShift
• Comfortable dealing with external and internal stakeholders
• Comfortable mentoring and supporting team members
• Has strong command, both written and spoken, in English
