Introduction
We are looking for you; that wants to work together with the business and our data and analytics team in order to build analytic capabilities and maturity to support smarter sustainable transport solutions.
Your responsibility as an Analytics Strategist will be to make sure that Volvo Trucks has an analytic platform with the right capabilities to support the business roadmaps, drive the work with the Volvo Trucks analytics vision and set a roadmap for how to evolve our overall maturity to be a data-driven company.

As Analytics Strategist you will play a key role in that journey by developing a vision and a roadmap for modernizing and delivering an affordable and reliable data analytics platform to our enterprise, drive the usage of Volvo Trucks data assets and work with business and IT functions to enable efficient usage of data and analytics capabilities.

Who are we, and what can we offer?
Volvo Trucks Digital & IT is a global function, and is responsible for our Digital/IT strategy, and IT End to End within Volvo Trucks. Our aim is to align process and target architecture of information/IT to business strategies and goals.
Main Responsibilities and Activities
Your expertise in the data and analytics domain, together with a strong technology acumen will be crucial to enable the full potential of the advanced analytic initiatives and the business insights and automation implemented at Volvo Trucks.
You will work closely with a team of data and analytics experts, such as Data Architects, Data Scientists, Data Engineers and Data Analysts. In addition, the Enterprise Architects, Information Management team and the business stakeholders will collaborate with you to design and execute of an analytics strategy and the delivery of the outcomes.
In your role as Analytics Strategist you are showing our business what is possible with advanced analytics and what great looks like.
Required Knowledge and Experience
Master- or Bachelor Degree or equivalent educational level in Computer Science/ IT
Experience of Analytics platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure analytics services
Profound practical experience of implementing Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Analytics concepts in a business context
Experience of Data Marketplace and Data Product concepts
Experience in defining data and analytics vision, roadmaps to reach that vision and activities to deliver the vision
Business insights in the Sales, Marketing, Retail and Finance areas, preferably from the automotive industry
Analytical skills and program management know-how, comfortable diving into details
Proficiency in working with IT budgets, and optimizing the usage of an analytics platform from a cost perspective
Data and program governance
Understanding of how legislations as well as business contexts can put limitations in the analytics area
Ability and interest in cooperating with data specialists, analytics specialists and business stakeholders
Ability to work autonomously in a highly demanding and often ambiguous environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills (in English) with ability to communicate clearly and effectively to all levels of the enterprise, as well as the ability to translate complicated technical discussions to business language and vice versa
Communicative skills and genuine interest in increasing an organization’s maturity level within analytics, and work long term to increase the awareness and knowhow of analytics on all levels of the organization and towards different professions/roles.
Experience and interest in working in a global environment
