Analytics Data Engineer

We are now looking for an Analytics Data Engineer in our Analytics department to contribute to extracting and loading data into Snowflake cloud environment.

About the job

In Verisure we are working with data from many different sources like SQL databases, message queues, REST API:s and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). In the Analytics department we are responsible for connecting data to produce actionable insights. We are working agile in scrum teams and embracing a DevOps/DataOps mindset.

As an Analytics Data Engineer you will be working together with other data engineers in a skilled analytics team to help leveraging the functionalities of the Verisure ELT frameworks and applications in order to support the company with reports, insights and advanced analytics. It is great if you have experience working with both opensource and commercial environments.

This role is significant to our company and our mission of taking data driven decisions to support R&D and Operations in creating the best possible services and products for our customers. The solutions we build must always be of high quality, stable, maintainable, and monitored.

What you bring

We are looking for a technically creative, innovative and open-minded Analytics Data Engineer with a passion for creating robust data pipelines, extracting data from various sources, data quality and cloud migration.

You will closely collaborate with the other team members as well as with engineers across the Verisure organization. You will present, communicate and share your insights always acting in the best interest of our customers. Essential requirements
* At least 3 years of experience as a data engineer
* Documented practical experience in extract/load from on premise to cloud
* Experience in building data pipelines from end-to-end.
* Cloud platforms and services (Azure, Google, AWS)
* Understanding of business needs
* Knowledge in working with big data and SQL
* Solid experience with DevOps and DataOps
* Fluent in English

Desirable experiences
* Snowflake development and administration
* Matillion ETL Platform
* Apache NiFi
* Linux administration
* Working with Machine Learning
* Programming languages like Python, Java, Scala and SQL
* Building Docker images and Docker Compose projects
