About Sweden
There are nearly 1,000 Thermo Fisher Scientific employees based across five different locations in Sweden. Our biggest site in Uppsala develops, manufactures, and markets allergy tests and diagnostic systems. In central Stockholm we have two smaller offices that support customers with analytical, diagnostic and research related products, instruments and services. On the west coast in Gothenburg our newly built warehouse and office works with a wide range of laboratory equipment and consumables. On the outskirts of Ängelholm in southern Sweden ca. 40 people are dedicated to producing and extracting top-quality raw materials used in allergy tests and other health products.
How will you make an impact?
The Tender/Contract Specialist is responsible for the development of business proposals and ensures the coordination and execution of the activities related to tenders and contracts with public and private entities, in compliance with the law and procedures of the company.
The Tender & Contract Specialist will have overall responsibility for support to RSD business in Sweden, Denmark and Norway. This position also includes a close collaboration with the EU Contract Specialist to ensure that local tenders are implemented accurately.
This role is located in Gothenburg Sweden where you’ll have a team to support you or you can work remotely from your home.
What will you do?
Responsible for effective end to end administration of designated Tenders / Request for Proposal (RFP’s) or Request for Information (RFI's)
Working within customer specific portals, manage all the documentation needed to participate to tenders acting as project coordinator
Conduct the “first-pass” of each proposal to respond to questions by researching the appropriate knowledge databases
Prepare all relevant tender documents by verifying all the administrative and technical requirements and ensure written formal tender proposal response
Project lead for all relevant tenders ensuring optimal process in all tender phase
Create and execute a project plan to be shared with all the tender stakeholders
Coordinate activities between all functions throughout the duration of the tender process providing regular feedback and managing timelines
Maintain a database / library of Tender/RFP responses to questions
Ensure all relevant tenders are processed and submitted on time
Manage electronic archiving of documents in accordance with established criteria
Project management of tender implementation activities
Ensure tracking of opportunities and live tenders and support sales in Renewal Activities
Contribute to improve win rates.


How will you get here?
Degree in Business or other relevant field

Experience
1 – 3 years experience in Customer Service and/or Administration of Tenders/RFP and contracts within public procurement.
Leading projects efficiently, able to motivate people to work together and achieve project goals and deadlines
Scientific background desirable but not essential

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Fluent Swedish and English, additional Nordic languages an advantage
Skilled communicator with team members and stakeholders in a cross-functional environment
Excellent computer skills particularly in Excel & any data manipulation and usage of Web platforms
Self-motivated and coming up with ideas for improvement
Well-structured and with direction, works to achieve objectives and deliver results
Excellent analytical and organizational skills
Accurate with attention to detail
Ability to learn quickly processes and tools
Adaptable to change
Travel – not to exceed 10%
