Who we are
Over the course of the past five years we’ve grown to a business of over 1500 Instaboxers united by a single purpose; providing the smoothest shipping experience possible. We’re fast, both in terms of parcel delivery and when it comes to growing our business. As we continue to expand, the complexity of Instabox grows in parallel. With that in mind, we are now looking for an Android Developer to help us govern our journey ahead.



What you will be doing
As an Android Developer at Instabox you will be working in an agile cross-functional team with a clear mission and problem space to solve. All of our teams are highly collaborative and we’re looking for people who thrive on working closely with other engineers to solve hard problems. Together with stakeholders and project managers, you will design APIs and create applications that are used by all branches within the company and our customers.

Our engineers make some of the most important decisions for the company and our products. We’re looking for people who want to get things done and have an impact. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to exercise real ownership of the apps that are owned by your team.

It's an Android role in a hyper-growth tech company, with all that it entails. When you join us, you’ll have a part in deciding the technologies that we use. From day one you’ll get to work with:

- 100% Kotlin
- Android Studio
- Firebase
- Kotlin Coroutines
- Kotlin Multiplatform Mobile
- Jetpack Compose


We have our own Android room full of different Android hardware, dashboards for all our production Android apps, lab table, etc.



Who you are
At Instabox we value individuals who are keen to learn, and your eagerness to develop your own skill set will undoubtedly be your strongest asset when joining us. If you are a really skilled problem solver who loves coding and making complex things work, then this is the place for you. Beyond that we imagine that you would have some of the following points on your resumé:

- At least three years experience as an Android developer using Kotlin
- You think it's fun to create feature rich internal apps for different types of hardware and that are used in the core of the business
- It is an advantage if you have a Bsc or Msc in Computer Science or related discipline
- It is an advantage if you also have been working with dependency injection, KMM, Kotlin coroutines, hardware, unit/instrumented tests, and CI/CD
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
