Providing audio- and e-books from the world’s largest publishers, through an innovative app experience, we give more people access to books. Nextory is now looking for an Android Developer to further strengthen our awesome team to keep enhancing the user experience every day. Our technical environment
100% Kotlin
Jetpack / Hilt / Coroutines
Architecture multi module + Clean Code
A little bit of Compose (15-20%) with a desire to increase it over time
Some Unit Testing (mainly on the Business Layer) to increase as well
We are working with scrum sprints, Jira as ticket management system, Gitlab as SCM and Bitrise for the CI. We aim to move forward with TDD (and we believe you aim for that too!).
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
As an Android Developer you will work in one of our product teams to improve the experience for our customers in the app. With a creative mindset, you will help to create the Nextory world that our customers are invited to, with the aim to increase reading by creating great/richer reading experiences. In an international team, you will be focusing on delivering the features needed for the customers to be happy and the business to grow, while you assist in defining the details of those tasks and support the test and release process. The position is based in Stockholm and you report to our Head of Engineering.
We believe that you
• have a university degree in computer science, or other relevant field
• have at least four years of experience in Android Development and lately using Kotlin
• appreciate writing tests for your code and that you take pride in your well-written and documented code
• have great communication skills in English which is required in the daily work
• want to be an important part of a solution-oriented team and is happy to share your experiences and ideas
