Job Description
The person we are looking for will be part of the Mobile Device team. The team is located in Stockholm and consist of 7 persons, Software engineers, technical engineers, Business Experts and Product owner. The products responsibility if to ensure we have mobile devices in our stores globally to enable the staff in store creating value for our customers. The devices used are all Android based and act as a platform enabling all Apps needed in stores. The SW/Android Engineer we are looking will, as part of the team, ensure we have great operating devices in store, develop and maintain a handful of applications the team has developed, ensure and improve Bluetooth pairing functionality so our Smartphones work with RFID readers and other peripherals, handle device security QR-code enrollment and much more. We use mobile devices in all 60+ countries, supported by vendors and operational teams.

Responsibilities
Develop and maintain the android applications the team is responsible for
Ensure we have the right mobile devices for H&M and our brands
Simply for other teams and make is clear how to create android applications that with work over time on the mobile devices
Collaborate closely with the team and other cross-functional teams, share best developer practice as well as discuss and ensure application design.
Collaborate with end users, other product teams and technical persons, making sure applications and the mobile device roadmaps is working hand in hand.
Translate product strategy and end user needs into suitable, maintainable, secure and scalable solutions
As a team we are responsible for the whole life cycle of the mobile device, design, build, roadmaps, test, deploy, evaluate, and repeat. The mindset “You build it – you run it “ is key for us. We are measured on business outcome and the value we create for staff in stores and the other product teams with the applications we enable on the device.
Qualifications
As a SW/Android Engineer in this role, you need to have an entrepreneurial mindset, be excited about creating great devices and challenge the status quo. Other important skills needed in this role is to keep it simple, be a team player, live the agile values and contribute as a team member and not the least, have a strong passion for technology and Android, a doer.
We also believe that you have
4 + years of experience of Android development
Experience of development using Kotlin
Have knowledge and experience to write, and maintain, high quality code.
Understanding and experience of MVP’s, A/B testing and automated testing
Experience and knowledge of API design
Experience in agile software development practices (automated testing, mob/pair programming, CI/CD etc.)
Good knowledge, both written and oral, in English
It is positive if you also have (but not necessary)
Experience working with Android Studio, Firebase and/or Google Play services
Experience working in a retail environment
Experience working with WorkspaceOne, SSO, RFID, Bluetooth, NFC, pairing & Android Enterprise Recommended
Experience working in cloud environments, preferably Azure
