The Business Area Wind is responsible for Vattenfall’s Onshore and Offshore Wind as well as other non-hydro Renewable activities like PV/Solar. Our offshore business is amongst the top three players globally and we are currently constructing the world’s first subsidy free offshore site. Our offshore portfolio consists at present of 2,0 GW installed capacity and 2,5 GW, which are under construction or in pre-construction.
Recently, Vattenfall has expanded its offshore wind portfolio in Sweden and is therefore now looking for the right person to lead these projects through its development phase. Vattenfall is looking for an experienced project manager that shares our values in collaboration, positive attitude and openness. As Lead Project Manager you will report to the Head of Bids, who manages the team of project managers in the development phase of the project.
In your role you will lead multi-disciplinary team, international, internals and externals, towards the successful development of the offshore wind farms. You will be responsible for the timely delivery of the project, according the quality standards and the budget. You will need to liaise with internal and external stakeholders for the benefit of the project, and balance the project’s need to progress in development versus the need to deliver a commercial viable project.
You will have the following key responsibilities:
As a Lead Project Manager for Swedish offshore development projects, you will:
lead a multi-disciplinary team from different domains (risk, valuation, HSE, technical project manager, controller, permit manager, project management officer etc.) towards important project milestones
define a development strategy and guide the organisation what it takes to deliver
be required to drive to commercial and technical decision topics
produce project documents, prepare decision material and presentations for senior management.
structure the project such that internal governance, business case runs and permit application submissions are reflected adequately
manage the collaboration with the external partners and suppliers to the project
prepare and control the project budget periodically
utilise your thorough understanding of business case, LCOE and revenue dynamics to steer the project towards a viable project from a permitting, technical and commercial perspective.
ensure delivery within quality, scope, and budget
plan and secure resources needed in the projects
actively manage stakeholders and their expectations as well as project risks
We are looking for a candidate with the following skills/qualifications:
Background
University degree (or equal) in engineering/business/economics. Different educational backgrounds are welcome.
+5 years working experience in project management positions of wind projects in realization and/or development, or comparable projects; it is considered an advantage if you have experience working in the offshore wind industry.
+10 years of relevant and professional experience
Experience in working with and presenting to Senior Management
Your career has exposed you to tasks at the intersection of commercial and technical topics
A strong command of Swedish and English, both verbally and written, is mandatory to succeed in this role

Location
The location for this position is in Stockholm where you will join peers in the team. You will work in a European virtual team, as you will have colleagues placed at different locations; you also must expect travel activities related to your work in Northern Europe.
