Radio Design is responsible for research, development, and maintenance of Radio Unit in Ericsson Radio Base Station products. One of our major challenges is to develop and deliver high volumes of Radio Hardware in short timeframes. To achieve this goal, we brought together a Team of acknowledged specialists in different competence areas and we use the latest design and simulation tools. We consistently keep track of new technology, methodology and design techniques, ensuring that Radio Filter and Antenna design activities hold a competitive level.
We are now looking for one new developer with a deep interest and knowledge in Antenna Design. By joining our Team, an important part of your role will be to secure new embedded antenna products to be developed in time and with high quality. In this context, you will interface internal Radio design, Mechanical design, Sourcing, Production and Production test and engineering. You will be the main technical contact towards our antenna suppliers on a daily basis, you will be involved in various antenna development activities like requirement analysis and definition, design, integration, verification and product documentation. You will be the one who reviews and evaluates the antenna designs end-to-end, from start to secured volume production, with constantly high focus on quality.
Finally, a large extent of our work is performed together with Ericsson’s Teams as well as suppliers from all over the World. Co-operation with other design centers in Sweden and all over the World is our day-to-day reality and should represent an additional motivation for you to join our Organization.

Job Description
We are looking for an ambitious Antenna Designer and team worker. You have strong analytical skills and you are a fast learner. You have high interest and experience in the field of antenna design and their use in complex radio products and advanced antenna systems for cellular radio networks.
As an Antenna Designer, you will be a member of a team that is developing the next generation of Ericsson radio products. You will participate in sourced antenna developments using word wide antenna suppliers, as well as own designs, for our own radio products and solutions. You will contribute to the evolution of our product portfolio, participate in pre-development projects as well as in technical studies and follow the developments in 5G Radio systems.
Main Responsibilities

Simulate and develop design solutions
Review design solutions and work with continuous improvements in products and processes
Develop competence in the troubleshooting technical domain
Perform continuous analysis and requirement handling.

Qualifications
MSc degree in physics or electrical engineering or equivalent
At least 3-4 years of extensive experience from antenna Technology, including design knowledge and fabrication processes;
Solid knowledge of Radio design;
Good understanding of cellular radio networks
HFSS and (ADS) RF design tools knowledge
Good knowledge in Radio/RF/antenna technologies and products
Good knowledge in MATLAB
Good knowledge and experience of antenna measurements in antenna test ranges
Experience in mmW antenna design
Knowledge and experience of antenna production processes for high volume production
Ability to work in a cross-functional and network-oriented organization
Innovating, adapting, and responding to change
Excellent written and oral communications skills
Have developed knowledge sharing and collaboration skills
Lean & Agile knowledge and skills
Good knowledge and experience of Phased Array Antenna design and measurement
This position will report to Manager Filter & Antenna Design 3.
