API & Interface Architecture Lead

We are now looking for an experienced Solution Architect and Technical Leader for the position of API & Interface Lead within the Customer Experience Team in the IoT Technology & Engineering organization. This is a newly formed unit which will have the responsibility to understand how our customers and customer applications are experiencing the service we are offering, and ensure that our User Experience and Developer Experience offering via APIs, API architectures and User Experience fulfills the customer needs across all of the Ericsson IoT Platform Portfolio.
As API & Interface Architecture Lead you will be responsible for driving architectural alignment and develop standard methodologies around API & Interface development and design. You will chair an informal group (e.g. an Architecture Guild) of experts and technical leads from development teams across all of the engineering organization.

What you will do


Drive alignment around APIs and Interfaces across different sub-systems, components, and teams within IoT
Define and lead the governance around design decisions and life-cycle management of APIs and other Interfaces in IoT platform portfolio
Ensure collaboration, knowledge sharing, and re-use between development teams around APIs and other Interfaces
Lead development of design standard methodologies, guidelines, and rules for APIs and other Interfaces in IoT products
Work closely with the Architecture Team, Product Management, and other teams to collect feedback on how our products are used and perceived from a user perspective



You will bring


Experience as a software developer designing and implementing both APIs and Graphical User Interfaces
Demonstrated ability to design both hard-working and easy-to-use interfaces
Strong relationship building as informal leadership skills
Excellent English verbal and written communication skills and the ability to create both documentation and presentations that effectively explain complex topics
