App Tech Lead to Svea Solar

ABOUT THE ROLE

As App Tech Lead, you will face great and exciting challenges, with the mission to create technical solutions equally attractive for the customer and our planet. Our App enables ways to be smarter with all things related to our ecosystem, giving our customers knowledge of what their energy consumption looks like and easy steps to minimize energy usage without compromising their everyday life. A win-win-win service for everyone, earth included!

Leading and working hands-on with a growing team of 4 doing React Native front-end development, you will be part of an extraordinary scale-up journey. You will be focusing on creating an outstanding app for our customers - providing world-class services like energy production and consumption monitoring and analysis, help customers eliminate their climate footprint as well as reducing their energy bills.

Some key responsibilities:

- Drive the technology under the hood of our App, and set the technical direction with excellent customer experience in mind
- You will do that by taking responsibility for and coordinate technical decisions, making sure we solve the right problem at the right time the right way
- To get happy users, you will have to simplify the visualization of complex data and make it understandable for everyone, today and tomorrow
- And of course, you will engage and inspire your team members to grow as we grow


You will be one of three Tech Leads in our Software department, reporting to our Head of Software Development.

WHO YOU ARE    
You are an experienced senior developer with a demonstrated history of taking responsibility for technical solutions. You have a solid understanding of scaling complex software systems, with experience in building apps.

To be successful in this position, you can break down technical problems for your team members with varying levels of experience and communicate the rationale behind specific solutions or approaches. You appreciate the beauty and challenge in making complex things in a simple and easy style. You enjoy coaching, supporting, and give technical advice, with experience of working according to agile principles. 

We believe you have:    

- +10 years experience as a software developer   
- Knowledge in React Native and TypeScript    
- Preferably, an MSc. or BSc. degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics or similar
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken
