Application and Sales Support Engineer

For Sandvik Rock Processing Solutions and our production site in Svedala, we’re now looking for two structured and adaptable Application and Sales Support Engineers. You’ll join our Sales Development department, which is an important connection between our sales organization and our production – aiding in complex projects, escalating strategical improvements, and participating in product launches. About the job
Your mission is about technical process support – helping our front line to choose and offer the correct solutions by listening and finding the customers’ core needs. With an open mind, you analyze and explore possibilities, and you connect the dots to find innovative ways of doing things. You assist with process flow sheet calculations, layout drawings and quotations, as well as providing technical process and application competence in customer meetings. You’re always aware of potential business obstacles and enablers, which you communicate to the backline when needed.
By staying close to the sales organization, you get an understanding of their daily work, needs and challenges, and you’re a role model in promoting digital offerings, value selling and a fact-based approach. You work independently with great freedom under responsibility, while always having your team as support when needed. As we’re working with different customers all over the world, your days include a broad and exciting scope of various projects, cultures and technical conditions.
The location for this position is in Svedala – a quick and easy commute from surrounding cities, such as Malmö, Lund, and Ystad, and our site is located just across from the train station. As most of our customers are located outside of Sweden, travel is necessary and normally a natural part of your job.
About you
With a relevant engineering degree such as mechanical, electrical, mining or similar, combined with a broad technical and process curiosity, you’re well-positioned for deeper development within this role. We’re open for applicants who are newly graduated as well as with experience from other relevant fields. Beneficially, you have been working internationally or within rock processing, and have experience within CAD and/or CRM systems (we use Salesforce). You’re at home in the Office 365 suite and, since we work globally, good written and verbal English is needed while skills in other global languages are a plus.
