As a Senior Sterling Order Management Specialist, you will assist clients in the selection, implementation, and support of the Sterling Order Management Systems (OMS), formerly Sterling Commerce and Yantra. This specialty uses consulting skills, business knowledge, and packaged solution expertise to effectively integrate packaged technology into the client's business environment and achieve the client's expected business results. This individual will independently manage time and tasks. The Senior Sterling Order Management Specialist will also mentor lesser experienced team members, and ensure that the technical solution adheres to best practices and quality standards.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Participate in the software design, development, and implementation, using Sterling OMS.
Provide advanced-level development and documentation skills.
Provide strong testing and debugging skills at all levels, including unit, system, integration and performance testing.
Serve as a lead developer or team lead of a small team.
Assist in the conceptual and technical design, using object oriented design techniques.
Assist with the estimation of development tasks.
Independently interface with client technical teams and business owners, as needed, during the design and implementation.
Independently manage time and tasks.
Mentor lesser experienced team members and ensure that the software developed adheres to best practices and quality standards, through code and design reviews.
In addition, they Senior Sterling Order Management Specialist should have the ability to communicate effectively to business and technical audiences. Language requirements include the following: Java, Java 2 Platform Enterprise Edition (J2EE) and object oriented technologies, Websphere, Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), Web Services, Java Message Service (JMS), Extensible Markup Language (XML), Extensible Stylesheet Language Transformations (XSLT), Xpath, Oracle Database, Eclipse.
