Role Summary
Dynamic and motivated, you have a strong background as a developer who specialises in web portal, web content management and web security technologies and moved since a while to an architecture role designing web-oriented solutions in the consumer-facing digital space. You are looking to move beyond and use your expertise to lead the growth of the Electrolux web presence at large scale and drive the technology agenda based on new web technology trends.
As Application Architect for the website channel of the Electrolux brands, you will be responsible for the technology agenda and will be owning the architecture design of the website platform by reviewing current implementations and processes and propose improvements, leading an ongoing process of metric-driven optimisation, raising awareness of new web technologies and the benefits they could bring, and ensure that your specialist knowledge is shared throughout the organization.
This role is pivotal in driving the front-end content development and executing the wider digital strategy across Europe to ensure maximal direct-to-consumer experience and the growing need of high-performance platforms. Working as part of the Sales and Marketing Technology and Delivery team, this role supports the day-to-day website/digital platform content management needs.
In this role you will support brand website solution development by providing, communicating, and evolving the broader technology and architectural view of the solution, working with product teams (especially the technical leads) by providing technical enablement concerning subsystems and capability areas:
· Leads the architecture design of the Electrolux brands web sites solution and ensure change requests authority
· Owns the corresponding current IT landscape and its transformation to the target optimal architecture
· Ensures that the solution architecture design is optimized for performance, reliability and scalability
· Responsible of the solution architecture design quality and alignment with the Electrolux IT strategy
· Assists with testing, monitoring and troubleshooting to ensure high reliability and quick incident resolution
· Assists with web performance and web security configuration using Akamai services, Azure cloud services and any other future options in place
· Act as the EPiServer/Optimizely and web portal technical and functional subject matter expert within the Electrolux Marketing community
· Create and implement best practices regarding solutions based on Microsoft.Net and EPiServer/Optimizely platforms – configuration and custom coding
· Design and implement proof of concepts using new Digital Marketing technology trends available
You will also collaborate closely with product management function in defining the technology infrastructure to realize the product development roadmap (by decomposing business epics/features into components and subsystems, and defining their interfaces and APIs), including the ownership of the technology enablers epics/features.
You will report to the Sales and Marketing Technology and Delivery Manager in a key role working with the Marketing stakeholders in executing the digital strategy across Europe and working closely with delivery partners to carry out optimisations and architecture transformations, but especially daily working within the development teams to successfully deliver and support the Electrolux web digital platforms.
What you'll need
To succeed in this role, you will need to demonstrate experience in managing the solution architecture practice and a clear understanding of technical landscapes that are made of CMS and web presentation-based software products combined with a micro-service based architecture. Previous experience working in a Technical Lead or Architect role in a web and content management area is essential, experience with scaled agile teams will be a plus. You will need to be able to communicate effectively with a multitude of people across IT, business, and vendor teams including senior stakeholders and be capable of exercising conflict resolution.
Qualifications
· Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Mathematics/Statistics, Software Engineering, or other technical field
· 5+ years development experience using Microsoft technologies. Web technologies including ASP.NET, C# and MVC strongly preferred. Advanced and proven experience of using Microsoft.Net web technologies in high-traffic environments.
· Advanced and proven experience of using EPiServer/Optimizely CMS technologies in high-traffic environments. Any EPiServer/Optimizely certification is a plus
· Solid experience of using Akamai web performance and security technologies in high-traffic environments and addressing EPiServer/Optimizely performance problems and optimizations including web frontend. Akamai certification is a plus
· Able to confidently estimate the effort required to perform EPiServer/Optimizely specific work, in partnership with the development team
· Solid experience with Microsoft Azure cloud hosting infrastructure operations and application operations
· Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL and non-SQL database
· Ability to work either in a full Agile/ scaled Agile ecosystem
· An advocate for Test Driven Development, Continuous Improvement, Continuous Integration, Delivery and other general good practices
· Excellent communication and collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical groups
· Language skills: English
