Application Developer – Eskilstuna


VCE Digital & IT Site Support & Digital Transformation supports our site managers and users with IT tools including IT hardware and local and global application support. We also bring new ideas and best practices to our sites as we all continue our journey towards our digital future.


We are now looking for an Application developer
As Application developer in our team, you will be working with industrial IT in a creative, fast moving factory environment.

Main tasks
Your main tasks will be to contribute to our digital journey, driving Volvo CE’s ambitions for the future and to make sure our applications provide a stable IT environment. Applications integrated with factory devices will be your specialty and IIoT and cloud based analyses part of your tools. You will be involved in projects, development, testing, implementation and user education.
The main tasks of this position are;
Application development and support
Device and machine integration development and support
Close cooperation with manufacturing engineering, plant maintenance and production execution team to support and inspire with new innovative solutions



Your profile and required competences
C# and process programing skills and experience
Passionate about innovations and new technologies
Entrepreneurial mindset
Exceptional problem solving ability
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Fluent in English and Swedish, both verbally and in writing



Competencies good to have
Python programming
Device integration knowledge (PLC’s, IIoT devices etc)
Knowledge in Wonderware platform
