Application Engineer - Consultant

Application Engineer - GITS, Derivatives & Nordpool Perido skills is currently looking for a technical consultant (Application Engineer) on behalf of our client NasdaqOMX. The Application Engineer team is responsible for application managed services, i.e. operation and maintenance of exchange systems, support to clients with operation related issues, optimizing application performance, managing changes and resolving problems. In this position as Application Engineer you will be an important player in the team that operates one of our CLICK systems. You will have all the information regarding 'your' customer, knowing exactly what is happening with the application. You will be responsible for delivering quality and maintaining good up-time. The job includes: - Being part of all activities regarding the application such as handling of incoming issues, new functionality (requirements), launch of new versions etc. - Acting as specialist in operational issues, questions and requirements. - Taking part in different projects regarding current and new customers. - Handling all incoming 2nd line support issues. Qualifications required: - Master of Science or equivalent. - 3-5 years work experience from operation of large and complex computer systems. - Knowledge of large, real-time transaction systems. - Excellent language skills in written and spoken English and Swedish - Excellent skills in Microsoft Office. - Experience from working with VMS/ALPHA. - Knowledge of the financial industry. -LINUX To suit this position you are curious and willing to learn and develop but also used to assume responsibility.
