Application Engineer, Customization Technologies

Would you like to join a dynamic team striving to make additive manufacturing a substantial part of Höganäs business? In a company with a decades of experience in powder production, we are strengthening our team with one Application Engineer specialized in laser powder bed fusion technology.
About the position
You will be part of dynamic and collaborative team focusing on development of Höganäs' offering for the AM market. In collaboration with our customers, you will drive application development projects based on laser powder bed fusion (LPBF) technology and Höganäs' 3D printing metal powders.

Together with Höganäs colleagues, industry and academia partners you will develop and optimize printing parameters for Höganäs' materials, as well as take part in new material development projects. 

Other main tasks will be:


• Supporting customers and sales colleagues in technical queries and problem solving.
• To continuously follow the development of the AM industry.
• Act as an expert in LPBF technology within the company.  

This position is located in Höganäs, Sweden. Some national and international travelling required, approximately 20 days per year. 

Your profile
We are looking for you that have a profound knowledge of 3D metal printing technology, as well as AM related software and hardware.

This position requires a M.SC in Mechanical Engineering, Material science or similar and minimum 5 years’ experience in LPBF technology. 

You need to have experience of working with CAD software, build preparation, setting of printing parameter and post processing technologies. 

You are a collaborator and thrives on development projects, and you have a proven record of project management and presentation stills. You are fluent in English, both in written and spoken language.
