The Vacancy
The Commercial Operations team of NAF in Linköping, Sweden, has a vacancy for an ambitious and self-driven Application Engineer with an interest in sales and developing strong customer relations.

The Application Engineer is responsible for supporting a wide variety of customer quotation requests across Flowserve's portfolio. This role is involved with all customer facing activities related to the order acquisition process including proposal development, specification and scope review, pricing analysis, and coordination with multiple internal and external stakeholders. It also includes accountability for technical expertise and a clean order hand-off to operations. The team of application Engineers work independently but support each other in the daily work.  

In this position you will report to the Commercial Operations Manager. 

 

Job Specification
In this position you will be working with the following tasks

- Prepare and deal with quotations in a timely manner for the NAF product portfolio and potentially other brands within the Flowserve organization
- Verify that received orders are in accordance with quotations made
- Produce and maintain accurate records of all activities in accordance with company report systems
- Liaise closely with the sales and operational organization, both internally and externally, to ensure the achievement of both sales and company objectives
- Management of clarifications related to contractual clauses, sales inquiries as well as technical clarifications with the customer.

In this position you will work with technical solutions as well as communicating with customers where your soft skills will show off. You will work as the bridge between the sales-team and the production.  

Qualifications
We believe that your experience includes the following

- An education in mechanical engineering or process-technology (Bachelor Level)
- A commercial sense of prices, pricing and products
- Knowledge of valves and/or automation of valves in the process industry is a plus
- Ability to communicate fluently, both verbally and in writing, in Swedish and English, knowledge of Finnish is a plus.

Terms
The role will be located in Linköping, Sweden. Travelling may be included in the position from time to time.
