Application Engineer Microsoft Technologies

The team "Group Applications" belongs to the "Global Business Applications (GBA)" organization of Electrolux IT, which is one of the sectors of Electrolux Group. Group Applications Team is in charge of different IT systems mainly used globally and by all sectors within Electrolux Group. Affected business processes are finance, purchasing, sales, after sales, patent & trademark, budget forcasting, timereporting and master data. The team members are located in Stockholm but support a large number of end-users around the world. The candidate for this job position will be responsible for support and enhancement of such IT applications in close cooperation with internal business departments as well as IT Operations organization across the world. The applications are mainly based on Microsoft technology like MS SQL Server, IIS Web server, Sharepoint Server, and programming languages like VB, VB.Net, ASP, ASP.Net, SQL scripts etc. Main responsibilities: Support and maintain IT applications on Microsoft environment. Develop, test and implement new functionalities and optimize existing ones Analyze new requirements, develop, test and implement End user support Problem owner of incidents Technical documentation Liaise with IT Operations e.g. server administration, infrastructure, middle-ware in order to solve potential problems, new requirements and ongoing capacity planning. Competences needed: Minimum five years professional experiences with Microsoft development technologies like Visual Basic 6 and VB.Net, VB.Net, HTML, ASP, ASP.Net, Java Script, macro and script languages like MS-DOS script, VBA etc., preferable also Java, AJAX, XML Minimum 5 years professional experiences with MS SQL Server 2000/ 2005 development with SQL-queries, jobs, DTS/SSIS packages, stored procedures and at least basic administration skills. Minimum 5years of using Microsoft Windows clients like Win. 2000/ XP/ Vista in a client/server environment. Experience of Microsoft Sharepoint Server. Good data modeling skills with relational databases (tables, relations, keys, indexes) on a logical and physical level, preferable experiences with dimensional modeling. At least basic knowledge of Windows 2000/ 2003 server administration with IIS Web server, Windows domain security, active directory server, Windows services and network setup. Good experiences with MS Office tool suite, especially MS Excel and using of ODBC / OLE-DB driver for database links. Logical thinking. Communication and influencing. Self development, quick learning and sharing knowledge. Team player, self-going, pro-active. Ability to work against high-pressure deadlines. Basic understanding of middle-ware and network technologies. Fluent English written and verbal.
