Your role:
The definition of an Application is ”the specific purpose for which something is used” and as an Application Engineer your main responsibility is to secure that our products performance meets the requirements of the customer application. This means different expectations for an excavator, dump truck or a rescue boat all powered either with combustions engines or electrical and hybrid power trains. You bring out the best from us to the customer!
On a daily basis, this means that you will work globally with our new and existing strategic customers in their switch for future products in their development projects. Throughout their project you will offer technical support in order to achieve an installation approval so that they can start serial production with the best optimized installation.
Your profile:
We believe that you today work as a Development Engineer, technical project manager or similar and would like to have close contact with our premium customers. You probably like us aim to learn more about hybridization or electrical products as well as our new more efficient combustion engines platforms in our customer applications? To be successful in this role you enjoy having customer focus, technical interest and a willingness to learn and understand different use of our products in the exciting Power Solutions businesses.
You are structured, analytical and value a creative and innovative approach to problem-solving and enjoy working in a developing and varied environment both internally at factory but also into new projects at our focus markets.
It is beneficial with experiences from work within a Commercial or R&D function in either engine or software related areas.
You enjoy giving technical presentations in English both internally at Scania but also for our key account customers and feel comfortable to handle larger challenging projects.

As we operate on a global market the job will require some business travel, approximately 10-20 days per year.
