Application Engineer, Robot Guidance Systems

The Industry is becoming more and more automated and there are high needs for smart and intuitive vision systems that are easy to integrate and operate. SICK’s Robot Guidance System team in Linköping, is looking for an application engineer who want to be part of the new industry era with smart sensors and connected systems. We work on a global market with an ever increasing need for vision guided robot applications.

In short – our team put eyes on robots and make them smart.

As an application engineer in our Robot Guidance team you have a key role in that you bring the customer needs into our developed solutions and you bring the solutions into life at our customers. As an AE you help and assist our global sales organization as a technical expert on our systems performing feasibility studies, system commissioning, robot integration, technical support, custom developed solutions, trainings, trade show demos etc. Focus is to have a close customer relation and solve our customer’s automation challenges by help of using our Robot Guidance systems.

Your profile

We seek You that has a good sense for problem solving and is not afraid to think outside the box. You are motivated by seeing things finally working and that customers challenges get solved. You have a large interest in Machine Vision and automation technology in general. You are a good team player that enjoys working in smaller teams with a big global network.

You have a bachelor or master degree, or a competence level comparable with that. Programming experience is required. Good knowledge in English is also necessary as well as both interest and ability for international travels.

It is meriting if you have experience in any of the fields: image analysis (incl deep learning), robot programming, robot integration and mechatronics.
