Application Engineer to Kollmorgen

We are looking for you, an engineer who are in the beginning of your career with hands-on practical experience of such as metalworking, mechanics or similar, that want to be a part of a high-tech global company!

Kollmorgen is a global company which develops motion control and Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV) systems and works with customers in many different industries all over the world.

Kollmorgen Automation AB is a part of Kollmorgen and we have our headquarter in Mölndal, Sweden and with offices in the US and China. The target is to provide world leading technology for the rapidly growing market of AGVs and Mobile Robots. About 120 employees are working with product development, professional services, sales, marketing and finance.

About the position
Your task as an Application Engineer will be to strengthen our ability to install, develop and test automation solutions together with our customers. You will also be teaching and developing our e-learning offer together with our global organization. You will become an expert in the use of our products and will have a wide network of contacts with our customers and within Kollmorgen. Since we do have customers all over the world, this position will involve traveling. You will be located at our office in Mölndal, Sweden.

In your daily work you will:

- Installing, developing and testing automation solutions
- Teach and develop e-learning offers
- Be an expert in the use of our products - the link between our customers and R&D
- Support through our Helpdesk
- Hands-on work in the test area, e.g., with programming or electrical and mechanical settings



Traveling will occur, both abroad and domestic, for periods up to 3 weeks.

We are looking for you
.. who apply engineering theory in your hobby or other activities outside of work. You are able to present it in a way that is tied back to your engineering degree, such as home automation, dimensioning beams in construction, working with electrical/mechanical parts and systems on vehicles, or just mounting a shelf on a plaster wall. To have a handy ability is important to be able to carry out the work as an Application Engineer in the best way.

In your day to day work you will continuously develop, and we see that you are a willing to learn and curious by asking questions when needed. You are also motivated by challenges and have an interest in problem solving to be able to be the perfect link between our customers and R&D.

As a person you are outgoing, structured, hands-on and like to work independently as well as in a team - no two days are alike. Taking the initiative to use new skills and continually improve your performance comes natural to you.

Must have

- Engineering degree within electrical engineering, mechatronics or other relevant education.
- Handy ability shown through previous hands-on practical experience besides work/study
- Speak and write fluent in English
- Basic knowledge of high-level programming language
- Driving license B


Meritorious

- Experience of C#, C, C++ and/or PLC programming
- Experience of customer contacts
- Other languages than English is considered a merit
