Application Engineer to Kollmorgen

We are looking for you, an engineer who wants to be a part of a global high-tech product company, who would like to take on a role where you will have a wide network of contacts with our customers!

About the position
As an Application Engineer you will be a part of our Services Department consisting of about 13 people working and the team you will belong to consist of five other Application Engineers. Your task as an Application Engineer will be to strengthen our ability to install, develop and test automation solutions together with our customers. You will also be teaching and developing our e-learning offer together with our global organization. You will become an expert in the use of our products and will have a wide network of contacts with our customers and within Kollmorgen. Since we do have customers all over the world, this position will involve traveling. You will be located at our office in Mölndal, Sweden.

In your daily work you will:

- Installing, developing and testing automation solutions
- Teach and develop e-learning offers
- Be an expert in the use of our products

- Support through our Helpdesk


Traveling will occur, both abroad and domestic, for periods up to three weeks.

We are looking for you
.. who have some years of working experience within engineering where you have gained experience relevant for this role, e.g. customer contacts and support.

In your day to day work you will continuously develop, and we see that you are a willing to learn and curious by asking questions when needed. You are also motivated by challenges and have an interest in problem solving to be able to be the perfect link between our customers and Engineering and Product Management.

As a person you are outgoing, structured, communicative and like to work independently as well as in a team - no two days are alike. Taking the initiative to use new skills and continually improve your performance comes natural to you.

Must have
To be successful and thrive in this role we think that you:

- have an Engineering degree within electrical engineering, mechatronics or similar
- have 2-3 years of working experience within a relevant field

- are an outgoing and communicative person
- speak and write fluent in English
- have basic knowledge in any high-level programming language
- have driving license B


It is meritorious if you

- have knowledge in C#, C, C++ or PLC programming
- have experience of customer contacts
- speak other languages than English



A major emphasis will be put on your personal characteristics.
